Congratulations to the 130 women who today received the prestigious annual Women in Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Award, a national program of The Manufacturing Institute. The award honors women showing excellence and leadership in manufacturing. Honorees represent all levels from the factory-floor to the C suite.
We’re proud that two women from Wyoming Machine have received this award. In 2013, Anna Wald, our former WMI Quality Manager, was one of 122 women honored. In 2014, Traci Tapani was one of 160 women.
As Co-Presidents of Wyoming Machine, we have long been advocates for promoting women. Although we comprise just 30 percent of the manufacturing workforce, we make significant contributions. Hats off to all women who have advanced manufacturing in so many ways!
